Set each staff member's weekly hours and time off once, and your own booking link does the rest. Customers pick a service, a person or "any available", a day and a time — days you are closed are greyed out, times already taken are struck through, and two people can never take the same slot.
Give every service a cleanup buffer and the next booking simply cannot land in it. A 30-minute cut with a 15-minute buffer keeps the chair busy until the room is genuinely ready.

Every service carries its own duration, price, deposit and cleanup buffer. The buffer is held after the appointment as well as before it, so two bookings can never quietly erase the gap between them — the mistake that makes a diary look fine at nine and hopeless by noon.
Tattoo work is the opposite of a walk-in trade: sessions are long, booked weeks ahead, and tied to one artist's hand rather than to the studio. A consultation might be half an hour and the session it leads to half a day, and both have to sit in the same artist's diary without a generic slot length flattening them into the same shape.
A half-day session at €400 that does not arrive is the whole day — an artist cannot fill six hours at short notice, and the work was turned down elsewhere to hold it. This is the clearest case in the whole vertical for a deposit taken at booking, and for the appointment only confirming itself once that deposit has actually landed.
